Instructions
- Prepare the glass: If desired, rim your glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge along the rim and dipping it into a small plate of salt.
- Mix the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar. Add a handful of ice.
- Shake it up: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15–20 seconds, until the mixture is well-chilled.
- Serve: Fill a glass with ice and strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glass.
- Garnish: Add a lime wedge for garnish and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a sugar-free option, substitute agave nectar with stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
- Add a splash of sparkling water for a refreshing twist.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less agave nectar.
